Liverpool concluded their pre-season programme with an entertaining win over SV Darmstadt on Monday.
Early goals from Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota were followed by a second-half strike from Luis Diaz to earn the Reds a 3-1 win against the newly-promoted Bundesliga side.
The result means Jurgen Klopp’s side go into Sunday’s Premier League opener at Chelsea having finished their warm-up campaign with three victories, a draw and a 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich.
But there was plenty that went unnoticed or under the radar during the 90 minutes at Deepdale.
