Pundits Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville have made their feelings about Liverpool and Moises Caicedo clear in the past
Jamie Carragher may see his wishes granted – while Gary Neville could be proven correct after the Sky Sports duo previously encouraged Liverpool to move for Moises Caicedo.
The transfer saga for the 21-year-old has trundled along soundly throughout the summer months, with Chelsea seemingly in the box seat to seal the signing, until the saga took a fresh twist earlier today.
The Telegraph first reported that Liverpool have rivalled their opening day opponents with a higher offer for Caicedo, reversing the roles of the latest Romeo Lavia rumour and sending supporters into overdrive. However, the ECHO understands that the Reds have only initiated contact with the Seagulls and have not yet submitted a formal offer.
But the message still stands, if this is indeed genuine interest then there should be nothing standing in the club’s way to go all in and sign their reported target.
