Liverpool have made two big-money signings this summer, but are looking to make more additions before the transfer window slams shut
Liverpool have completely revamped their midfield ahead of the new campaign as Jurgen Klopp’s side look to bounce back from last season’s disappointment.
They finished fifth in the Premier League meaning they will not be competing in the Champions League this year. And Liverpool have been very active in the transfer market so far, spending big on Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
Despite the additions of Mac Allister and Szoboszlai, Liverpool are desperate to sign another midfielder before the transfer window slams shut following the departures of James Milner, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho. Here’s the latest news from Anfield.
Liverpool have made a late bid to sign Moises Caicedo after making contact with Brighton over the midfielder.
Chelsea have been pushing to sign the midfielder for the majority of the window, but Mirror Football understands the Reds have contacted Brighton chiefs about a potential move for Caicedo.
The Seagulls value him at £100m and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool or Chelsea will table a bid they decide to accept. Caicedo, meanwhile, has made it clear he wants to leave and even sat out training earlier this week.
