Transfer saga surrounding Brighton midfeilder Moises Caicedo continues with the player reportedly eager to complete a move to Chelsea, despite Liverpool agreeing a £110m fee.
Liverpool have reportedly been dealt a major blow in their pursuit of Moises Caicedo.
The Reds agreed a record £110million fee with Brighton in the early hours of Friday morning after meeting the South Coast club’s deadline. Caicedo had been a long-standing target for Chelsea but Jurgen Klopp’s side bettered their £100milion offer.
The 21-year-old was initially tipped to undergo a medical today ahead of his move to Anfield. However, it has been claimed there is a late twist in the transfer saga, with Chelsea refusing to let their top target go without a fight.
has been reported by Fabrizio Romano that Caicedo has told Liverpool that he ‘only wants to join Chelsea’. The Ecuadorian midfielder has been expected to leave Brighton throughout the summer, having seemingly reached an agreement with the club after not securing a move away in January.
