Endo receives clearance as Liverpool get injury boost in team for Bournemouth

Liverpool starting line-up and full team news from Anfield for their Premier League game against Chelsea

New signing Wataru Endo will be on the bench for Liverpool’s first home game of the Premier League season against Bournemouth.

The 30-year-old Japan international completed a £16.25million move from Stuttgart on Friday and received international clearance in time to be selected among the substitutes by Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds boss has kept faith in the line-up that started the opening 1-1 draw at Chelsea last weekend.

It means Liverpool’s two other summer signings, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, will both make their full Anfield debuts, with the former lining up in the number six role.

Cody Gakpo continues in midfield, which means Diogo Jota again leads the attack with Luis Diaz on the left and Mohamed Salah the right.

Alisson Becker is in goal, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson at right-back and left-back respectively while skipper Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate are the centre-backs.

Curtis Jones is absent with an injured ankle but Stefan Bajcetic is among the substitutes having not featured in a matchday squad since March.

LIVERPOOL (4-3-3): Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Salah, Jota, Diaz. Subs: Kelleher, Gomez, Endo, Nunez, Elliott, Tsimikas, Matip, Bajcetic, Doak.
