Eddie Howe has stated that Joelinton is “fine” for the game against Liverpool despite ongoing injury concerns, but there are still questions.
Joelinton, who was once written off as a failure, has transformed into a crucial member of Howe’s Newcastle club after switching positions.
Last Saturday, the Brazilian was sent off the field after 56 minutes due to a late hit on Phil Foden. His availability for Sunday’s Liverpool encounter was at first questioned.
Joelinton is OK, according to Howe. We have our fingers crossed that he’s OK because we didn’t see him till later in the week when he trained.
Due to the way Howe worded his response, this does create some questions regarding whether he can begin.

Joe Willock is one man who won’t be participating, though. Howe claims he is “making good progress,” but a hamstring problem prevents him from training until the international break.
Lewis Hall, a left back who recently joined the team, is competing for a spot. He quickly drew my attention, the manager remarked. He has great physical, technical, and attitude qualities, therefore I believe he will be a terrific addition to our team.
Javier Manquillo, a former Red, and Emil Krafth are still injured for the Magpies.
Although Liverpool has won all 13 of their games against the Toon, this is the most formidable Newcastle lineup in years.
Howe added: “The rivalry between Newcastle and Liverpool has always been there historically, I don’t think it’s ramped up particularly any more than it’s always been.
In the past, it has been a game that everyone has expressed interest in seeing. There will be flashpoints and moments since it pits two legendary clubs against one another.
