In light of interest from the Saudi Pro League, the Reds manager discussed the Egyptian’s future.
Mohamed Salah is not for sale, according to Jurgen Klopp, who also feels the Egyptian is fully committed to Liverpool.
Salah has become a target for Al-Ittihad as news of an impending bid for the 31-year-old has been coming out of Saudi Arabia all week.
The Reds winger, who has two years left on his current Anfield contract, has reportedly been offered a contract that would make the Saudi Pro League champions the highest-paid player in history.
Although the Premier League transfer window closes on Friday, six days before the Saudi Arabia deadline, Klopp has restated Liverpool’s position that they are unwilling to sell the forward.
The Reds manager responded, “Yes (there isn’t),” when questioned on Friday about if there was still no formal interest in Salah. Speaking about news stories is challenging because there isn’t anything from our perspective to say. Mo Salah plays for Liverpool.
“Nothing is present. If something existed, the response would be “no” (he is not for sale).
“I consider an issue when I have one, but at the moment there is none. If there is a future event that I am not aware of, I would have to consider it. But it would be no if something did come.
Mo has a complete dedication to the Liverpool Football Club.
