Jurgen Klopp calls the transfer of Mohamed Salah “a catastrophe” in an open statement.

Klopp acknowledges that losing Salah after the transfer window has closed would be “a catastrophe,” but he reaffirmed the player’s commitment.

Jurgen Klopp acknowledges that losing Mohamed Salah once the Premier League transfer market closes on September 1 would be “a catastrophe” for Liverpool.
Although the Reds manager acknowledges his worries about the Saudi Pro League’s financial clout and the fact that their transfer window doesn’t close until later that month, he has reaffirmed Salah’s dedication to the cause at Anfield.
Recent rumors from the Middle East say Saudi champions Al-Ittihad are ‘intensifying’ their interest in the Liverpool star ahead of next Friday’s European deadline, which has sparked unexpected but strong debate about the future of the Egypt captain.
Given that the Middle Eastern deadline is not until later in September, according to Klopp, clubs on the continent are ripe targets for the Saudi Pro League once the window shuts.
Salah has two years left on the most lucrative contract in Liverpool history, but Klopp is realistic enough to acknowledge that the current state of affairs is far from ideal. As a result, Liverpool has no intention of considering any offers for Salah.
Before Sunday’s televised trip to Newcastle, Klopp told Sky Sports, “There’s a lot going on around us, but that’s it.” “Speculation exists, and I believe it is very normal at this time.
Mo is a very seasoned player who is totally dedicated to the team and to us here. To be honest, I don’t care about it. A large club might always come in and seek players off of a regular club in the Premier League or other leagues. That market has since grown. We’ll have to wait and see whether or not I’m concerned.
“We have Hendo and Fabinho to draw on for our own experience. But generally speaking, the extended transfer window is the true issue. It’s a serious issue because, as long as you have the option to respond, it’s sort of part of doing business.
“It’s a crisis when we are unable to respond anymore. The truth is that. It would be incredibly horrible if they can just pick players, which is why I have urged the authorities to look into it a few weeks ago.
