“Box-to-box” Ryan Gravenberch excited for “fresh start” at Liverpool

Ryan Gravenberch, who is now a member of Liverpool, has referred to himself as a “box-to-box” player and expressed excitement for his “fresh start.”

Gravenberch, who joined from Bayern Munich for a total of £38.5 million, including add-ons, has become Liverpool’s fourth newcomer of the summer.
He expressed his happiness at the move to Merseyside on the official website of Liverpool.

“I’m quite content. Gravenberch expressed his happiness at the completion of the deal and his arrival.

“Now that we have a new beginning, I’m going to offer everything I have for this club. To win awards is [my goal]. Play a lot, introduce yourself, and show them who you are to earn prizes.

When questioned his reasoning, he responded, “If you look at it from the outside, Liverpool is one of the biggest clubs in the world. The stadium and the supporters are both excellent, in my opinion.

I had a conversation with the lads (Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo) before to the relocation.
When talking about meeting Klopp, Gravenberch’s expression also became animated.

We discussed everything, according to the Dutchman.

“He is a fantastic instructor, and you know, he made me feel good. I went there with my girlfriend as well, and he talked about virtually everything and only positive things, so I was quite content.

“It was like a great feeling, and I can’t wait to start playing with him on the pitch.”
I spoke a lot with my parents about this move, they were just pushing also for Liverpool so that was a good thing.”

When asked what qualities he will bring, the 21-year-old said: “I think I’m like a good dribbler, I’m a technical player, also a box-to-box player.”

The Dutchman joined Bayern Munich last summer but it didn’t work out, with a managerial change hindering progress.

A disappointing campaign last year led to the German champions putting him back on the market, though the Reds’ recruitment staff remained convinced of the player’s qualities from his time at Ajax.

While with the Dutch giants, he played the majority of his games as a central midfielder. However, in 17 of his 103 appearances for Ajax, he featured as a more defensive midfielder.
