Ibrahima Konate is not included in the France team because the Liverpool defender is still injured.
Following France’s ultimate decision, Ibrahima Konate will not participate in the upcoming international break.
Ibrahima Konate will not be included in the French football team for the upcoming international break, the French Football Federation has stated.
The 24-year-old was initially listed as questionable for Liverpool’s away game against Newcastle a week ago today, but Jurgen Klopp ultimately left him out of his squad.
“He did good work. On Monday, we’ll evaluate the situation, although he is supposed to be accessible. Naturally, I won’t take chances,” he remarked.
He was restrained for four days, but he followed his plan and will continue training through Monday. He’s quite likely not going to play in Liverpool’s game on Sunday.
The Frenchman did indeed miss out on a triumph, this time against Aston Villa, but in contrast to the manager of France’s statement from three days ago, a decision has been made almost a day in advance.
The federation confirmed on social media that the Reds’ No. 5 had “insufficiently recovered” from a hamstring injury to his left thigh and was unable to join his fellow internationals for duty tomorrow. Nice center back Jean-Clair Todibo will step not as the No. 5’s replacement.
