Jordan Henderson’s leaving statements are not being accepted by the public.

Statement Not appealing to the public.

The reception to Jordan Henderson’s interview won’t have been what he had hoped for when he gave an explanation for his choice to leave Liverpool for Saudi Arabia.

This week, Henderson spoke in-depth with Adam Crafton and David Ornstein of The Athletic, answering their questions on his transfer to Al Ettifaq.

These specifically included the reason he left Liverpool, if he went to Saudi Arabia for the money, and the response from LGBTQ+ and other groups.
claims that his relocation was “not about money,” but he didn’t “feel wanted.”

The former captain emphasized that his contract in the Middle East was not the decisive factor and that he has maintained his moral attitude while asserting that he was not made to feel desired in discussions with Jurgen Klopp.

He made a comment about the backlash from LGBTQ+ groups at one point, saying, “All I can say around that is that I’m sorry that they feel like that.”

Unsurprisingly, there has been a lot of criticism on social media.
