Mateusz Musialowski’s transfer to Liverpool was unsuccessful due to a last-minute adjustment.
Mateusz Musialowski’s summer transfer collapsed as a result of a change in Liverpool’s transfer requirements.
Musialowski was scheduled to sign with Austrian club TSV Hartberg after turning down offers to move back to his homeland Poland.
After failing to fit into Jurgen Klopp’s plans for 2023–24, the attacker was linked to transfers away from Anfield over the summer.
When Liverpool revised their position about the young player’s departure, negotiations for a move to Austria came to an abrupt halt.
Polish retailer According to Sport.pl, the Reds initially agreed to an arrangement that would have let Musialowski go this summer for free as long as a sell-on clause was included to the player’s contract.
According to reports, this has changed, and Liverpool now demands payment for the 19-year-old player who joined the team from SMS Lodz in 2020.
In the end, negotiations with TSV Hartberg failed, leaving Musialowski without a path out of Anfield.
Lech Poznan, Gornik Zabrze, Widzew Lodz, and LKS Lodz, all Polish teams, were rumored to be interested in signing the adolescent on a summer loan, but he had made it clear that he preferred to move to Austria permanently.
Musialowski’s current contract has one year still to go, and as things stand, he is expected to finish it with Liverpool U21s.
Last season, he made 17 appearances in Premier League 2, earning five Poland U21 caps as a result.
However, Musialowski has yet to make a senior competitive game for Liverpool and did not take part in any of the Reds’ pre season friendly.
