Adrian has been omitted off Liverpool’s roster for the 2023–24 Europa League season by Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds are preparing for life outside of the Champions League for the first time since 2016 by naming the 23-man senior squad that Klopp will have available for the six group games.
Adrian has been left off the roster despite their being just 17 ‘List A’ spaces available, as was exclusively reported by David Lynch earlier this month.
However, a UEFA exception might allow him to play if Alisson or Caoimhin Kelleher sustain long-term injuries.
Clubs had until recently to submit their squad lists to UEFA, with a maximum of 25 players allowed to be on the ‘A list’ of players.
Eight of the spots must be reserved for “locally trained” players, and only four can be “association trained” players.
The ‘B list’, which consists of players born on or after January 1, 2002 who have spent at least one full season with their team, allows teams to sign an unlimited number of players.
