- Recently, Jurgen Klopp reached the 300-game mark in the Premier League. During that period, he has produced results that will endure, but which victories rank in the top 10?
The idea that Klopp will have led Liverpool for eight years in October is absurd; where does the time go?
Between his first Premier League game at Tottenham and his most recent victory over Aston Villa, Klopp has played in 300 games in the top division, winning 188 of them.
It is not an easy task to choose a top 10 from a pool of 188 candidates, but Gareth Roberts and Paul Cope, hosts of the podcasts This Is Anfield and The Late Challenge, succeeded in doing so.
On Monday’s episode of the Liverpool FC podcast “Live at 5,” the duo discussed how challenging it was to pick out one standout triumph from another.
“I tried to put them in order, but just in that, it’s f**king hard, isn’t it?” Cope exclaimed.
I overheard individuals discussing this online last week; they were playing games and saying, “You can’t have that, mate.” We are discussing the Premier League.
“It just goes to show how many great games and great nights we’ve had.”
Immediately, there will be games that we can all agree are among the top 10. Roberts and Cope both agreed on seven games, albeit they did not always agree on the order.
In their respective top 10, they both included wins over Norwich (4-5, 2016), West Brom (Alisson, 2021), Man City (1-4, 2015), Everton (Origi, 2018), Man United (7-0, 2023), Aston Villa (1-2, 2019), and Leicester (0-4, 2019).
Although Roberts only placed the 7-0 thrashing of United in fourth place, Cope had it in his top slot.

5. Liverpool 0–5–Man United
Liverpool defeats Man City 3-1.
3. Liverpool defeated Man United 2-0

1. Liverpool defeated Man United 7-0
Remembering that Leicester was second in the league at the time, Roberts remarked of the Boxing Day victory against Leicester, “Everyone was saying this is where they were going to trip up.”
When that happened, you thought, “It’s happening, we’re going to do it at last.”
The other triumphs mentioned by Roberts or Cope included the one at Arsenal in 2016, the one at Everton when Mane scored in stoppage time, the 2-0 success over United, and the 3-1 triumph over Man City during the title-winning campaign.
We have a lot of options, but whose list of the top 10 do you agree with?
