Tyler Morton now has two assists, and Fabio Carvalho makes his debut.

While Tyler Morton kept up his impressive start at Hull City, Fabio Carvalho made his RB Leipzig debut.

Carvalho has had a challenging opening to his season in Germany after departing for a loan at RB Leipzig.

But this past weekend, he received his first start after appearing in just 44 minutes over the course of the previous six games. The Portuguese lined up in a formation that resembled a 4-4-2 on the left wing against Borussia Monchengladbach.

With 20 minutes remaining, Carvalho was replaced as part of a triple replacement after having little effect (only 13 passes were completed by him). Timo Werner, a replacement, scored the winning goal five minutes later.
On Sunday, Morton had a significantly better afternoon and contributed to Hull’s 3-1 triumph away from home.

Manager Liam Rosenior started the midfielder after he had previously played as a substitute twice, and Morton reacted by giving the team his second assist.

Regan Slater really received the assist with a straightforward sideways pass, and the 20-year-old nevertheless showed promise by giving his boss reason to be confident.

Sepp van den Berg was benched for Mainz after three losses in four Bundesliga games, but that didn’t change their fate as they fell to Augsburg 2-1. With 20 minutes remaining, the center-back was ultimately substituted ineffectively.
Dominic Corness, a midfielder, has yet to start a Swiss Super League game this year, but he contributed to Yverdon Sport’s impressive 3-2 victory over the weekend. As his squad defeated FC Basel, Mo Salah’s former team, he played the final 15 minutes.

In terms of goaltending, Luke Hewitson recorded a second shutout while Harvey Davies and Crewe defeated Colchester.

Hewitson’s afternoon was marred by disappointment, however, as Stalybridge Celtic were eliminated from the FA Trophy by Avro on penalties. The goalkeeper was powerless to stop any of the opponent’s spot-kicks.

In Scotland, Dundee and Kilmarnock drew 2-2, continuing Owen Beck’s unblemished record for Dundee in the Scottish Premiership.
