Aston Villa ace earns call-up after sensational form following Rangers transfer

Rory Wilson has been called up to Scotland U21s after a fine start to the season with Aston Villa’s U18s.

The 17-year-old has scored 11 goals in seven U18 appearances so far this season. He found the net four goals in Villa’s 7-1 win over West Bromwich Albion at Bodymoor Heath last month,

before bagging a hat-trick in the club’s 4-0 win over Tottenham and scoring a brace in Villa’s 2-0 victory at Southampton.

After scoring in 3-3 draw with Leicester City last month, Wilson then captained Villa’s U18s to a 3-1 win over Reading last time out, where he netted in consecutive league games.

He was called up to the Scotland U19s for the October international break and started in the 2-0 defeat against Ireland in Spain on Wednesday.
