Aston Villa will face West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday (22 October) after the international break at Villa Park.
Both the clubs are in fantastic form this season with Villa pushing for a place in the top four. Unai Emery has been forced to deal with several injury issues and Villa could be without several key players for this game.
According to Birmingham Mail, Alex Moreno could play some part against the Hammers. But the likes of Tyrone Mings, Emi Buendia, and Jacob Ramsey are definitely out for this game.
Moreno hasn’t played a single game this season. He last played in the 1-1 draw against Liverpool last season. The left-back was picked up for the matchday squad for Crystal Palace in September. He also travelled with the Villa squad to face Legia Warsaw but wasn’t used.
Emery will have to use him cautiously. The left-back is expected to return to full training this week and has a chance to feature in this game. It may not be a start for him, but depending on the situation in the game, he could get some minute.
Ramsey is struggling badly with his foot injury. He came off the bench in wins against Chelsea and Brighton but is set to spend some time on the sidelines yet again. Birmingham Mail suggests that he could return in mid-November when
Buendia and Mings are long-term absentees and it’s unclear when they can return to the first-team.
Villa are undefeated in their last three games in all competitions. They are undefeated in the previous four Premier League games, winning three of them. They have been absolutely brilliant at home, demolishing Brighton 6-1 at Villa Park last month
