Premier League football resumes this weekend following the conclusion of the October international break and Aston Villa will host West Ham at Villa Park on Sunday.
As many as 11 of Unai Emery’s senior squad were called up to their respective international squads for the break. Ollie Watkins and Leon Bailey were amongst the goals, while Emi Martinez kept two clean sheets for Argentina.
However, on loan forward Nicolo Zaniolo withdrew from the Italy squad after being investigated for illegal betting activity. He could still feature for Villa this weekend and has been training ahead of Sunday’s match.

Villa could move into the top four with a win as they currently sit in fifth place, a point behind Liverpool. However, they’d be relying on the Reds dropping points to rivals Everton, or Manchester City failing to win a third league match in a row when they host Brighton.
