News Update:Aston Villa players slammed as fresh Castore kit update emerges after controversy

Alan Hutton can’t believe Aston Villa players might not want new kits due to the fact they’re currently performing well in the Premier League.

Castore have come under fire due to how much sweat the current Aston Villa home kit retains. The Telegraph reported on 13 October that Villa’s kit suppliers have come up with solutions to fix the issue, one of which being to create a new batch of shirts

However, the newspaper adds “there is recognition the club may not want a completely new batch of shirts to give players, who can be famously superstitious”.

Hutton cannot understand that stance, saying that if the Villa players are going to complain about the kit, they cannot change their tune just because of superstitions.

Don’t complain about it then,” Hutton told Villa News.

“They’re talking about how the kits hold in their sweat so for me, it must be the material.

“Normally when you look at all these kits, it’s a dry-fit material and it’s breathable. If that doesn’t have that and it makes them sweat and it affects them while they’re playing, they need new ones. ‘Let’s change the material but no, wait a minute, we’re doing well so let’s keep them’. Don’t complain about it – it’s as easy as that.

“It’s a strange one to be talking about if I’m honest

Villa are fifth in the Premier League after eight matches.

Only Brighton (21) and Newcastle (20) have scored more than Aston Villa (19) in the league this term as Unai Emery’s men go into their next match on Sunday (22 October) against West Ham at Villa Park.

In other Aston Villa news, Louie Barry could be fighting for his future at Villa Park as his latest deal may be terminated early.
