Following the New England Patriots versus Jacksonville Jaguars game at TIAA Bank Field, 24-year-old cornerback Stephon Gilmore exits the field.
Those who experienced the New England Patriots’ dynasty have criticized The Dynasty on Apple TV+ despite the show’s favorable reviews.
Several significant characters in the narrative, such as Stephon Gilmore, are unhappy with how some characters are portrayed in the show.
Owner of the Patriots Robert Kraft recently expressed his “disappointment” with the way the docuseries portrayed controversies, and a number of former players have said they were “duped” by what was included in the film and what wasn’t.
But it seems like the show’s portrayal of former New England head coach Bill Belichick is the main source of disagreement. When former Super Bowl champions Julian Edelman and Matthew Slater talked about the documentary series on Edelman’s podcast, Games With Names, the criticism gained momentum.
Like Kraft, they felt that Belichick’s image lacked sufficient good aspects. Gilmore and other former Patriots have also expressed a similar degree of thinking. Gilmore, who played for Belichick in New England from 2017–20 and is currently a free agent after playing with the Dallas Cowboys last season, eventually watched the much awaited and closely watched docuseries.
The 33-year-old Gilmore took to X to express his dissatisfaction with Belichick’s portrayal after spotting a similar pattern.
He also gave his former head coach what he thought were some well-deserved flowers.
He wrote, “I’ve never been around a better coach than Bill.” “Don’t be duped by it. We were a mostly male squad from the start of the 2018 season until we won the Super Bowl, and I’ll never forget it.
We went to Zone when we faced the Rams. You could only get away with that, Belichick. And he did, winning Super Bowl LIII 13-3 as the Patriots’ defense had Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff in the ground. Gilmore went on, “No coach would change what they did all season in a major game like that.” However, Belichick did.
Gilmore provides further proof that is unrelated to the Super Bowl, in case you require it. [On X, Stephan Gilmore] Concerning Sam Neumann Sam has worked as a staff writer for Awful Announcing and The Comeback since the start of 2023.
