As Selection Sunday approaches, the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team is projected to secure a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Despite a quarterfinal loss to Alabama in the SEC Tournament, their strong regular-season performance, including notable victories over Tennessee and top-ranked Duke, has solidified this projection.
Multiple bracketologists, including ESPN’s Joe Lunardi and CBS Sports’ Jerry Palm, have placed Kentucky as a No. 3 seed in various regions. Lunardi’s latest update positions Kentucky in the West Region, facing Robert Morris in the first round, with Florida as the top seed in that region.
The official bracket will be revealed during the Selection Sunday broadcast at 6 p.m. ET on CBS.
