Caitlin Clark Rookie Card Sells for Whopping $317K, Continuing Record-Breaking Auction Run
Caitlin Clark’s rise in the sports collectibles market shows no sign of slowing. Over the weekend, her 2024 Panini Immaculate Rookie Royalty Logowoman 1-of-1 card—a one-of-a-kind item featuring an autographed WNBA logo patch and her handwritten “ROY 24” inscription—sold for an impressive $317,200 at Goldin Auctions.
The sale is the third-highest public auction result ever for a Caitlin Clark card and joins an elite group of women’s sports memorabilia to fetch six-figure prices. It also marks Clark’s 11th trading card to exceed $100,000 in value, and her third to cross the $300,000 threshold.
Bidding opened on July 11 with a $50,000 starting point, but the price quickly escalated. By the end of the first week, competitive offers had pushed it past $180,000. Momentum carried into late July when it broke the $200,000 mark, before ultimately closing at more than $317,000 after 21 total bids.
This sale follows closely on the heels of Clark’s Panini Flawless Logowoman 1-of-1 card, which in July set the all-time record for a women’s sports card when it sold for $660,000. Both cards are part of Panini America’s ultra-premium 2024 Rookie Royalty collection, which also includes the highly anticipated National Treasures edition still to be released.
Clark’s appeal goes far beyond the collectibles market. The Indiana Fever guard entered the WNBA as one of the most hyped prospects in league history after a record-breaking collegiate career at Iowa. While her rookie season has been disrupted by a groin injury limiting her to 13 games, she has still averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, and 36.7% shooting from the field.
The Fever currently sit in fifth place in the WNBA standings at 18–14, keeping playoff hopes alive as Clark works toward a full return.
For collectors, Clark’s cards are now viewed not only as sports memorabilia but also as investment-grade assets. With her popularity still surging and her career just beginning, industry experts believe future sales could push her even further into uncharted territory for women’s sports collectibles.
