- Liverpool have been dealt a potential injury blow as their clash with Nottingham Forest looms into view.
Steve Cooper’s men have made an encouraging start to the Premier League season and will be aiming to keep that going after the international break. They make the trip to Anfield later this month, on October 29.
Robertson made way just before half-time in Seville. He left the pitch cradling his arm in his shirt after a challenge with goalkeeper Unai Simon.
“We’ll have a look and he’ll go back to his club now,” Scotland head coach Steve Clarke told Viaplay, via the BBC. “It always seems to happen when you lose one player in a position. We lose Kieran (Tierney) then Andy picks up a shoulder injury.
We’ll see how it is and how it settles down. Hopefully he’s good for his club as soon as possible and ready to help us in November.”
Forest defender Scott McKenna was in the starting line-up for the Euro 2024 qualifier. Playing his first game in almost a month, the centre-back played the full 90 minutes for his country as they lost 2-0. Scotland needed a point to qualify for next year’s tournament, but will now go through if Norway fail to win at home to Spain on Sunday.
Forest return to action a week on Saturday with a home game against Luton Town. They then take on Liverpool in their second match after the international break
