Thiago Alcantara transfer latest as Liverpool braced for fresh approach from Saudi Arabia
Liverpool are braced for a fresh approach from the Saudi Pro League as speculation increases over the future of Thiago Alcantara.
Reports out of France and Saudi Arabia have claimed Al-Ahli – one of the clubs in which Newcastle United majority shareholders PIF have invested this summer – are set to lodge a £10.3million bid for Thiago.
While the Reds have not yet received an offer, they are expecting interest in a player who has now entered the final year of his Liverpool contract with no talks scheduled over extending the deal.
Thiago, who returned to full training last weekend after more than three months out following a hip operation, is understood to have rejected an approach from Saudi Arabia earlier this summer.
