Liverpool have not received any approach to take Thiago Alcantara away from the club, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.
Thiago, 32, was recently rumoured to be the subject of a €12m (£10.4m) bid by Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, who have already taken Roberto Firmino this summer as well after his spell at Liverpool.
Fabrizio Romano soon denied there was any offer on the table for Thiago, though, and Liverpool manager Klopp has now confirmed there was nothing in the story.
Klopp told reporters: “No, there is nothing. Honestly. Thiago is now training. Nobody asked.
“He came in and asked about his role and we spoke. Super experienced player, he stepped up in that department. He has only been in team training for a week but very vocal, he is going to be very helpful for us.”
