During a Global Works session led by the LFC Foundation, Mohamed Salah advised a group of migrants on achieving their goals in life.
The 20 participants heard from the Reds forward that if you have a dream and work hard, your dreams may come true.
Salah unexpectedly showed up to the group’s meeting before engaging in an uplifting Q&A session when he talked about the difficulties players experience on the field and the value of their off-the-field lives.
Following the Q&A, Salah spent time conversing with two young refugees one-on-one about their experience while observing the group demonstrate their football prowess in small-sided games.
Speaking at the occasion, Mo said: “You can accomplish great things if you have a clear vision and believe that there is a brilliant light within of you.
“I think all of your aspirations will come true if you work hard and have a clear vision. they are all.
You simply need to put in a lot of effort, be willing to make sacrifices, and do your hardest to realize your dreams.
“It was incredible for us to have Mo come down to the session and share his experiences and advice with the group, it was obvious to see the impact the visit had on our participants,” continued Matt Parish, chief executive of LFC Foundation.
“Mo was able to inspire so many people throughout the world as a hero.
Through weekly football clinics, the LFC Foundation and important partners work directly with refugees in the Liverpool City Region to help them integrate and establish new friends.
LFC Foundation has worked with more than 900 refugees and asylum seekers since the program’s inception.
The lesson in the video was a component of the Global Works employability program, which has been providing 38 refugees with services since March 2023.
This 10-week program combines the development of essential employability skills with the use of sport to promote physical and mental wellness.
