Football Insider has been informed by sources that Liverpool and Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim have reached an agreement in principle.
Speaking on the most recent episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, transfer reporter Pete O’Rourke disclosed that the manager is now expected to go to Anfield as conversations between the Reds and his agent are “ongoing” but have progressed to a more advanced level.
Ever since Jurgen Klopp declared in January that he would be departing the team after nine seasons, the Reds have been actively looking for his replacement.
