Salernitana president Danilo Iervolino has disclosed the background behind the club’s choice of hiring Filippo Inzaghi
The Italian icon found himself released by Reggina at the start of the 2023/24 season and will now take outgoing Paulo Sousa’s place in the Granata dugout.
Fifty-year-old Inzaghi was presented as Salernitana’s new coach, and Iervolino took the chance to reveal why he opted to onboard him during the ceremony. However, he first took the chance to praise Sousa first.
The Campania outfit executive went on to add to his decision.
